Carboloading done right.

Carboloading was the plan for my day. I started my day with some delicious carbs and of course, peanut butter.

My training schedule had a 20 minute run on it but I didn’t want to run the day before the race so I walked 5.0 miles with my mom. We walked 13:04 min/miles and it was a perfect sunny morning. I wore my race shirt from the Edmonton Marathon last year to get inspired for the events that will occur tomorrow. 

Yes, let’s hope I’ll be crazy fast. My aunt and cousin, Kyla arrived shortly after our walk and we headed to the race expo to pick up our bibs and race packages. The Edmonton Marathon race expo is really small. I tried a Chocolate Peanut Butter Powerbar… that was about all that was there. Ummm, where was the rest of the free food and such?

The carboloading dinner of choice was spaghetti and meatballs. Delicious and demolished. I have filled every last one of my glycogen stores in preparation for tomorrow. 

I have been contemplating my outfit for weeks. It is set out and ready. I am nervous. So very nervous.
