I can’t believe I have been writing this blog for a year! I started it
out of summer boredom in an effort to share my adventures in health and fitness and to also share my love of photography and all things food. I never imagined how many awesome people I would meet through the blogging community and how much the blog would evolve over the year. I am inspired by each and every one of my readers and I love getting comments from people all over the place! I would like to THANK YOU for stopping by my little slice of the internet!
The year flew by, but thankfully we have archives for people like me with short term memory loss and I can dig out some of my first posts, some of my best posts, and some of YOUR favourite posts!
My FIRST post: Blogging, Eh?
My MOST PINNED post: Strength Training for Runners.
My MOST READ post: Champion has mastered the sports bra.
The HARDEST post to write: The Last 10 Pounds.
The MOST SARCASTIC post: How NOT to train for a marathon.
My FAVOURITE post to write: Calgary Marathon!
I am so excited to keep writing. There is so much more to come and I can’t wait to share it all. I have been lucky enough to score some partners in my fitness adventures including Champion, Brooks, Vega, MyOatmeal, Natur-a, and Stoked Oats. I can’t thank them enough and it is an honour to represent their company and their products. Over the year I also ran a few races… seven to be exact! In case you missed the recaps, here they are!
Edmonton Half Marathon 2013
St. Albert Fall Challenge 2013
Edmonton Hypothermic Half Marathon 2014
RunWild Half Marathon 2014
Scotiabank Calgary Marathon 2014
Banff Half Marathon 2014
Stampede Road Race Half Marathon 2014
I am so thankful for and humbled by my readers. After all, I do it for YOU! I still love to write and I still love to take sweaty selfies and pictures of my peanut butter with a spoonful of oatmeal… I mean oatmeal with a spoonful of peanut butter. Writing a blog has pushed me to be adventurous, helped me learn to become a better runner, created some awesome friendships, and taught me tons about fitness, nutrition, and health. I love it. I am so glad I started blogging and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon 🙂 Thanks for reading and happy one year blogiversary to Canadian Girl Runs!
