Chickpea and lentil burgers.

I have no words. These burgers are unreal. I am always searching for healthy, vegetarian, delicious burger recipes and this one definitely makes the cut. In an effort to expand my vegetarian protein options, I decided to try lentils. They look and taste a little boring so I made them into burgers!

I found the recipe HERE and made only a few minor adaptations. You can definitely make these more interesting and add a few more spices or flavours but I kept them simple and they are amazing. All of the mixing takes place in a food processor so it’s easy peasy lemon squeezy! 

Credit for this recipe goes entirely to Kate from Cookie and Kate. I just made her recipe and took photos of it and pretended I was the inventor of delicious lentil burgers. These are a really good veggie burger for those tired of “fake meat” veggie burgers *raises hand* and they are made with real ingredients, full of protein and fibre. They are super filling too! I tested this recipe for the first time a few weeks ago and my dad, who typically has two burger patties, asked for two burgers to be cooked for him but was full after one! Yum!

    Since I live in a dorm, the best “recipe” I made was breakfast yesterday morning – apple cinnamon eggwhite oatmeal with cacao nibs, chia seeds and peanut butter!
