Thursday Tunes.

It has been a while since I wrote about the songs I have been listening to lately! Obviously, the cultured musical guru that I am, I am so in touch with what the hottest tracks are and what will get your workout jammin’. In all seriousness, I find myself scouring the internet and radio more now than I ever have before because having new music in spin classes is AWESOME. I personally get tired of the same old songs every class so I pride myself on never having the same playlist twice!

geller dance

When you want the lyrics to push you through your workout: “My Body” by Young the Giant.

When you want a little throwback Thursday remix: “Low [remix]” by Flo Rida ft. T-Pain.

When you want to dance it out in the weights section of the gym: “Sugar” by Maroon 5.

When you want to pump yourself up for your run: “Jealous [Remix]” by Nick Jonas X Blake G.

When you want to crank your music and run hard: “I’m an Albatraoz” by Aronchupa.

When you want the best remix you’ve never heard: “Shotgun Rider (Cardio Workout Remix).”

When you want the most beautiful cool down song ever: “Thinking Out Loud – I’m Not the Only One” [Mashup] by Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.

I like to tell my spin class they get bonus points if they can spin and dance at the same time. Music just makes working out so much fun! I know there are lots of people that hate the Top 40 charts and refuse to play the radio because they feel they are listening to the same songs over and over but I love hearing new music and who cares if it’s popular, if it makes me dance, it’s a keeper! Just remember…

i am beyonce always

What is your current favourite song?!

Do you try to align your music with your workout?

  1. Hello
i am in the spin class 3 times/week and on the bike more than 12 hours/week toward a big goal. I eschew the repetitive music tracks the instructors use in the class. may have to up the tempo but try these suggestions:

    Paloma Faith:
Can’t Rely on You .. any version is good but for the spin try the MK Remix.
    Trouble with My Baby
    Stone Cold Sober
Take Me – try for warm up
Sigma Ft Paloma Faith – Changing

    Fitz and The Tantrums
    The Walker
    Break The Walls
    Breakin’ the Chains of Love

    Kimbra
    Miracle

    The Black Keys
    Gold on the Ceiling
    Lonely Boy

    Ida Maria
    Bad Karma
Cherry Red – risque lyrics.but no one will hear above their pounding heart rate

    Rudimental
    Waiting All Night

    Charlie XCX-
    Break The Rules
