Adam Levine performed on The Voice last night…
Since I started teaching spin I have updated my current rotation of songs more frequently that I ever have before. Usually I wait 267 days until I finally convince my brother to add his new music to my iPod so I had something new to listen to but now I am actively searching for the latest tunes to rock my socks off so I can add them to the spin rotation. I think music really makes my spin class because I try to coordinate the rpm of the spin drill with the bpm of the song as best as possible. Check out the latest:
No shame. “Chains” by Nick Jonas was on repeat yesterday during my spin workout at the gym and will 100% be rocking my classes this week.
I love mashups and remixes, especially when it turns my favourite songs into run-worthy songs. Speed work on the spin bike requires a high beat, so usually remixed are perfect. “Don’t Stop Believing” Swedish House Mafia Remix is pretty fabulous.
THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE. Another remix that I use as a warm-up in spin but the original is just as awesome. I played it 4 times within my 60 minutes of spin yesterday as I was testing out spin songs and doing some cross training. “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)” by Omi… LISTEN NOW.
If you are looking for the perfect hill climb song, check out this gem, “Heartbeat Song” by Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” will forever be my favourite hill repeats song on the spin bike and it makes an appearance every once and a while in my spin classes but this one is great for a steady hill climb!
All around a good song for running or for spinning or for dancing. I surprisingly have a lot of Fall Out Boy in my workout playlists but this latest one is pretty awesome! “Immortals” by Fall Out Boy. Check-it, check-it, check it out.
I have been obviously sobbing and listening to slow music and mourning my 10 days without running so this is a nice slow song. Hedley (CANADIAN!) has some fun spin songs but this one is great for cool downs, “Pocketful of Dreams.”
