Another week, another workout recap. This past week was my experiment with more walk-commuting and it definitely added to my daily activity. I got some awesome workouts in and by the time I reached Sunday I was more than ready for a rest day. As the weather gets even warmer I’m excited to walk more and more but it was an exhausting week!
Yesterday I kept my steps as low as possible. 😉 I worked an early shift, then headed to see the movie “Deadpool” with friends, then came home and had homemade pizza with my family and one my good friends. It was a super chill day and while I felt like a sloth, I also was running on very little sleep and didn’t have much energy to do anything else!
I felt I started to reign in my nutrition this week as well, which has been a real struggle lately. Finding balance between nutrition and exercise (and all of the other pieces of health) is tough so I feel I’m constantly tipping the scale back and forth between the two. It was nice to feel very “in control” of my training and nutrition this week, definitely motivation to keep it going next week.
Success breeds success. I finished listening to the “You Are A Badass” audiobook this week and I highly recommend it. It was a great listen and definitely prompted me to be more aware of my goals, my reactions, my surroundings, my energy, and my life. While I didn’t love all aspects of the book it was a great motivation read if there are aspects of your life that are putting you in a slump right now or you are ready to become a better you.
This upcoming week is going to look pretty similar to the last one in term of workouts and I can’t wait to get ‘er done. I feel like I’m headed in the right direction now with Project Birthday Bod and I’m so ready to kill it these last 6 weeks!
