Thinking Out Loud Thursday #50!

Iiiiiiit’s Thursday! Random thoughts are flaunted and celebrated with Amanda at Running with Spoons and her weekly Thinking Out Loud Thursday! This week we have a recipe, a song, and lots of fun random nonsense.

  • This is true… if there is an eCard about it then it must be something more than one person has thought. πŸ˜‰

  • I made these apple and carrot muffins from Thug Kitchen so I would have snacks for work and school this week and they are almost all gone! My family apparently really loves them too! Super easy and so moist and delicious.

  • I am strangely obsessed with this song. I downloaded a bunch of new weightlifting music so there is a lot of rap and super inappropriate tracks but this is the one song that has been stuck in my head for days. I like super upbeat and pop music for running but in the gym I like loud, ridiculous beats like rap songs. Eminem is one of my faves haha!

  • After loving walking around so much in Montreal I am trying to walk a little bit more in my life back home. It sucks because I definitely don’t live downtown in a city so everything around me is super spread out and it takes me about an hour to walk to work but it’s definitely still doable. I walked to and from school on Tuesday and it was GORGEOUS out, five degrees and sunny in mid-February!

  • There is a 96.3% chance that by the end of the work day my hair will have ended up in a bun on the top of my head. I love my long hair but by the end of the day I am SO done with it and generally will be reaching for an elastic before the clock strikes 5. I keep saying I’m going to cut it short to rid myself of this problem but I probably won’t. πŸ˜‰

  • I tried kombucha for the first time this week. My opinion… meh. It was good, and I think it was good mostly because I got the hibiscus and berry flavour, but it wasn’t mind blowing. I guess I was expecting crazy excellence just based on how much of a craze it has become for some people but it was just alright. I have another one in my fridge in another flavour so maybe I’ll have a different opinion with the next one.

  • My brother found this online and I am convinced we should get this as matching tattoos. I have been wanting a second tattoo since pretty much the day after I got my first one but I don’t have a solid idea yet so it’ll be a while. I think this is super cool though.

  • Did anyone/does anyone watch New Girl? Schmitt is the absolute best. I laughed out loud at all of these, “24 Schmidt Quotes Guaranteed to Make You Laugh Every Time.’

  1. I was just thinking today that I want to cut my hair into a long bob. I’ve had the same straight, boring long hair for so long and I need to change up more than just the colour. I’ll probably regret it as soon as I chop it but whatevs, it’ll grow back.

I love kombucha. If you can find GT’s brand, the grape is the BEST flavour ever. I also regularly buy a pomegranate one that I really like. Liam really likes it so I usually have a bottle or two in the fridge

  2. Since no one has commented about the tattoo statement, I will. Once you have one, you want more. It’s like something you feel compelled to do. “I can’t just have ONE!!! I need more!!” That’s the way tattoos are. They make you want more of them. Trust me. I know what I am talking about. Although I haven’t had any since I came back from Saudi, I have been thinking about it lately!! Take your time and when you come up with or see the right one, you will get it done. Remember! It’s on you for the rest of your life!! :o)

  3. Love kombucha. But not that flavour, hahaha. Try GT’s gingerberry or trilogy flavours. For Rise, the lemongrass one is DOPE.

When I had long hair, it would always end up in a bun/pony a few hours into the day. Hence why I eventually chopped it all off!

  4. I agree, long hair is a pain cut I also regret it when I cut it (usually about three months or so later!)

I’ve been watching The Bachelor and I just started Survivor. I don’t watch a ton of television but I like reality tv!

  5. I’m the same.exact.way with my long hair. I’ve had it for as long as I can remember, but it’s such a pain to take care of and it basically lives in a messy bun on top of my head. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve wanted to get a pixie cut, but I’m scared!

  6. I, for one, think your long hair (and bun) looks great! I TOTALLY agree with you about listening to rap in the gym. It’s what I’ve always done dating back to high school, mainly because we had to share the weight room with the baseball players and they were all about rap. I’m very “meh” about kombucha.

  7. I’ve never tried kombucha- I just have this feeling it would be gross. That’s not a good attitude, but the look of it doesn’t appeal to me either. Long hair is great for buns and getting it out of your face easily, but can be a pain!

  8. I think Kombucha is ok but haven’t had it in years.

It’s very hard to walk in a city that isn’t walker friendly (Montreal is great, but I’m not so sure it’s really all that walker friendly, either).

My hair only goes up when it’s warmer. I just get cold super easy and I like having my hair down!

  9. I’m definitely not a huge fan of kombucha! I’m not sure what it is about it but, I can’t finish more than a sip or two before my mouth goes “Nope”.

  10. I love Iggy. Have you heard Work? That’s one of my favorite songs by her as well.

True story I puked the first time I had Kombucha…something about the consistency and texture is just not for me.

  11. I’ve been watching “Fresh off the boat” recently (super funny) and “Black-ish” (also super funny). I’ve been in the need of light entertainment cause work has been stressful πŸ™
But for the next few weeks TV will be limited because I’m studying for a major exam.
