Yesterday my work day went by SO FAST. It was insane, all of a sudden I looked up and it was 2:00pm and I hadn’t had lunch yet. Insane, because I NEVER forget about lunch. In fact, from about 10:00am on it’s the one thing that is given almost all of my focus and planning. My day to day eats don’t vary too much, my lunches and dinner are on a rotation of egg white wraps, crackers and veggies with hummus, soup, black bean burgers, roasted squash, and more similar snacky meals. Here is a peek into my day of eats on Saturday!
I wouldn’t say I have a huge sweet tooth, I’m more of a salty person. I would rather treat myself to a salty soft pretzel than candy and I am a sucker for tortilla chips over any type of white or milk chocolate. That said, I do enjoy some sweets every now and again. Here are a few of my latest favourite treats:
- chocolate covered pretzels
- black bean tortilla chips and corn salsa
- dark chocolate covered almonds
- chocolate pavlova with whipped cream and strawberries
- ginger molasses cookies
- lemon blueberry scones
